I remember reading in a magazine a few years ago, that there is a tunnel in the south of england that runs under a lake, that folklore would suggest is the gate to hell! There's a story connected to it that a blind fiddler and his dog went into the tunnel, and after a few minutes the fiddle playing stopped, and the dog ran out with its tail missing! Any ideas?

It may not be the gate to hell, but it's believed to be haunted

l live in new england and i haven't heard of that happening here but the story has been told in England and it is usualy exactly as you described it, some fiddiler and his dog wandering a subteranean tunnel playing music so the people who were waiting above couls see were the tunnel lead by following the music, but i don't think the guy could be blind because he has to wall in a tunnel

Oh goodie? They should have an expedition down there!

Darn, I should be living in Europe! I wanna go check it out! Could it be that the fiddler, being blind..bumped into the wall. Dropped his fiddle, the string un the fiddle was so fine it cut the dog's wagging tail off. The fiddler could not find his fiddle, or his way out. The dog leaves his owner behind....as usual.

And now we have a poor man wandering around in tunnels underwater.

More importantly is not whether the Gate leads to hell, is f the Gate leads Hell to us!

Whatever it is, take no chances. Anypeople going down there, bring all the stuff you can to fend for yourselves!

Plus, if there's nothing coming out of the tunnel that's not supposed to. Then the gate is probably sealed or shut off for now, because gates are usually a two-way street?

Other factors to consider. Who built the tunnel anyway? Or isit natural?

It exists in the constellations of stars. Hercules is holding the dog Cerberus by the tail at the entrance of the Gate of Hell. The tunnel is the python snake held by Ophiuchus. The tunnel leads to Hell which is in the constellation Scorpio on the ecliptic. In the tail of Scorpio there is Scorpi Black Hole which is at the Centre of our Galaxy next to the Galactic Centre.
It is possible that there is the same coincidence......is existing somewhere on Earth. It could be in England ....from Greenwich and in relation with the night sky.
I wish you to find it, please let me know if you do.

Whatever the fiddler did during his life, he payed a sudden and swift price, but the dog just got out away by a tail. The moral of the story is "don't fall heads or heels!"

Our world is multi-dimensional. There are many openings that are portals to other dimensions, and kinds of life. Elemental
beings typically don't like humans because we throw Nature out of balance, which affects everything within the Earth Realm.
If you look at a hole on a tree long enough, you might see some
elves and fairies! If only we knew what a magical and wonderous world we already live in.

Madfan, I know many tales and lore in the UK are confined to tight lipped villagers that keep such places secret. Many a story exists. But actual physical research or exploration is difficult as research yeilds few clues, from those that don't want it known, for whatever reason. If you find something out tho, I'd be interested to hear the account.

Hells Gate is just another way of saying Death is near. Hell is just a place that all sinners of various levels may go.
