Whats your favorite ride there? If it's one of those, don't tell me, because this is going to be the first time in my short little life going there...
It's not going to stink without these is it?

May I add SHORT little ife, so I am a BIT of a kiddie, but not much. And it's Disneyland... not world.... there's a difference.

Splash mountain is the best one of those rides, but if you are going soon then you might be too cold to want to get splashed on anyway. But if you go back in the future you should definately try to go on it, it is worth the long lines. You at least can go on all the other thrill rides - Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Mt. Railroad, Space Mountain
Tom Sawyer Island is basically a park with various playground-type areas in it. It's not very popular, and you won't miss it.
Mr. Toad's Wild ride is a very cute ride, and one of the best "dark rides." But there are a lot of other dark rides, my personal favorite is Peter Pan.
I think you will still have tons of fun. They always have a few rides shut down for maintenance, which is better than not maintaining them right? And this really isn't that bad, only one major ride is shut down. A few years ago, ALL of Tomorrowland was shut down!

Ive been to disneyland about twice a year since i was born. (20 years ago) The best rides to ride, my personal opinion, are
1. Pirates of the Carribean
2. Space mountain
3. Matterhorn
4. Star Tours
5. Haunted mansion
in that order, but if your able to go for 2 days spring for the 2 day park hopper pass because CA Adventure has some really good rides as well, Grizzly Mtn, Soarin over CA, some of the beat ive EVER Ridden, and ive been to about 11 amusement parks in my lifetime. Disneyland was my first and still my favorite though. Dont miss Fantasmic, it is an AWESOME shiw, but go early to get a good view, somewhere near the water facing the island.

Are you crazy--there's SO much more to do there! It'll totally be worth it, even though a few attractions won't be running.
I LOVE Splash Mountain and Tom Sawyer Island is fun, but you will have SO much fun with the other rides that you won't even miss these.
A few of my favorites: Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Small World, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, Matterhorn, etc.
Are you going to California Adventure also? Check out Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California, and California Screamin'. =)

No it won't suck! There are still a bunch of rides to go on - Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, the Tea Cups, the Haunted Mansion and much more. I thought Splash Mountain was a joke anyway, so you're not missing much there. Have fun!

you wont miss much, because those rides are all aimed at little kids. Splash mountain looks like fun, but its kinda stupid. The whole ride is just riding around in a little boat watching character anamatronics move in a small sequence. Theres only one big drop. Mr. toads wild ride is not actually so wild, and tom sawer island is just a boat ride over to a kiddie playground. i reccomend going to a different park, like epcot. There are way better rides there, like soarin and test track. hope you have fun! :)

Trust me it is not going to suck. I remember when I went to splash mountain that ride was very fun and greta. But as for the other ones....ugh......just be glad it's under maintance. The tomsawyer island is just a piece of land in a really small pond that they take you on a boat(the ride is for like 30 seconds) and you just go in some "caves and stuff. As for the other one be glad it's under maintance. May i recommend going to Animal kingdom and go on the new ride Mt. Everest. You will like it. Oh and do not miss out on my favorite ride...........the TOWER OF TERROR. It's located in MGM studious. It's is a heck of a cool and great ride. The hotel in which the ride is in looks so real. I hope you have a great time.... I know I did.
May I recommend......watch as many (live)shows as you can in Disneyland. You won't regret seeing a single one...I promise.

the only one that i think you would really miss out on is Splash Mountain which happens to be one of my favorite. But you will enjoy it the Indian jones ride is pretty cool as well a star tour and space mountain

Mr toad is not there anymore my favorite ride was space and big thunder mountain all the rides there are my favorite i cant choose

It won't but you will miss out on my favorite. Splash Mountain was my favorite when I went. They have a better version of it at Universal Studios though.

There's so much to do there that you won't miss those three rides. You need about a whole week to experience the park.
