how the heck do I get it out without leaving a stain?

I was messing with one of my candles (I know, leave well enough alone) and I got wax all on my hand and down my shirt. What would be the best way of getting it out of my shirt?

First, apply an ice cube or ice pack to the wax. This will make the wax brittle, allowing you to scrape off what you can. Use a credit card or a thin butter knife to gently scrape away as much of the wax as you can. Be careful not to use a regular dull knife that has serrated edges since this may damage your shirt.

Once you have carefully removed as much of the wax as you can, get an iron and a few clean paper bags. Place one paper bag underneath the cloth while you set the iron to heat on a medium to medium high level, depending on the fabric. Place a second paper bag on top of the wax.

Gently iron the area until the wax has been transferred to the paper bag. Throw the paper bag with the wax residue into the trash once it has cooled. Repeat the process with another paper bag until all of the wax has been removed.

Unfortunately, if the wax came from colored candles, a stain may appear on your shirt. If this is the case, pre-treat the stain and follow the laundering instructions for the tablecloth, napkin, or placemat. For the best results, launder the soiled fabric as soon as possible.

You can get it off of your shirt but there will be a stain there. That will never go away, but you can try taking the shirt and laying it on the counter or ironing board. Then you take an iron with steam and then try to iron it off. We did this when we knocked a candle over playing the Ouija board one year and it worked like a charm. Try it and let us know how it goes. Oh if you don't have an iron with steam, wet the towel with a little bit of water and lay it on the part of the stain and it should raise off. Good luck

Depending on the fabric you can boil it out but you to have boil it on high heat os if it is silk or something like it, as far as i know you can not remove wax from it, but if it cotton or better it will be O.K it boil in hot water just keep the fabric moving, use a old tooth brush and lightly brush the wax area onces the wax starts to melt it will release it,s hold on the fabric just remenber the water has to be boiling when to put the fabric in.So i hope this helps i have used this way in the past and it worked it was handed down from my mother.Father of four!!!!
