I think it's to be annoying. I seriously think people are using this because they're bored. People ask a bunch of disgusting questions, too. I think the only places on Y! Answers where people actually ask questions because they need answers is on all of the science, politics, health, etcetera. Pretty much everything except for the Entertainment and Music section.

Because people forget what questions they have already asked so decide to use another 5 points to ask that same question again

I miss the days we used to have actual polls, and I love it when people post games. As a matter of fact, I think I'll make my own now!
