I know there is a national site called missingmoney.com or net (can't remember which one) It is free and many states list the person who the unclaimed money belongs to is. You have to be able to prove it is you through paperwork but it is a legitimate site. I would start by looking there it see if you can find yourself on the list.

It's a scam. Avoid it.

Go to http://www.foundmoney.com/ and see if the same amount is for someone with a name like you.

Usually it's a deposit on an electric or phone bill. Most of the time the amount isn't worth the research though.

Sure . State of CA is holding unclaimed money but letter don't say its your money...

If you have any money owed to you check each state's unclaimed money web site>
you don't need some spam company.....

If a State has money for you and knew where you where, they would inform you--officially and not thru some fly by night .biz.

It is a scam. Once you get to their site they will ask you for some personal info. then claim they found money in your name and ask you to pay for the searches. DO NOT DO IT!!!!
