when i try to turn it on it doesn't want to. I pulg it in the computer but it won't work.

All you have to do is reset it, press play and the center button at the same time and hold it will reset

It means your computer is going to treat it like well, a disk. The same way it treats your hard drive the only difference is that your ipod will be labled as a removable disk. So you can save programs, essays anything you want on there.
(that doesnt mean you'll be able to access them through your ipod screen)
just for extra storage or to bring files to another computer easily and quickly.

It means that you aren't using it as an MP3 player, you are using it as hard disk space. You have to plug it into your computer, open itunes, and manually change it back to the regular mode.

You must of been messing with the settings. Try to put the DEFAULT settings it may work.
