People can change for good, but there are always exceptions.
And yes, there are those who change by their own.

I think the ONLY way peolple change is on their own. I do agree that sometimes people need help to direct them to a better way, but the initial decision to make a change has to come from within. The help can't be forced on them. You can tell a person a million times that their actions are hurtfull, or self distructive, etc...but when someone can not see it for themselves, there is little chance of convincing them.Unfortunately, sometimes the best way to show someone that a change is needed is to let them deal with thier own conciquences. Of course, every situation is different. Good Luck.

We as humans have a wonderful ability to adapt to our surroundings. With this adaption comes the ability to change. It is not only possible but kind of easy to do as I have done it a few times myself. In the last 10years I have been able to change alot about myself. I no longer drink, do drugs, eat excessive sweets, get violent, I am not natorously hetrosexual (only one woman not 100s), committ crime, or any of the bad stuff I use to do. My entire life has changed and it was done by mee and mee alone for mee and mee alone!
Noone can take the credit for my changes as I have done it all on my own for myself!!
Thank you for the interesting topic and have a great day!!

People change once they finally realize that the consequences of their actions are too harsh for them to keep doing what they do. The consequences come from external forces, but the change itself has to come from within.
I think SOME people can, and do change for good once they see a positive reaction to the change. But for others...they never grasp the concept.

I do but they have to continually work on it. Bad habits are hard to break as is bad behavior. With the right help from the right people along with a consistent attention to the issue, I think folks can conquer and change for the good.

People can change positively and negatively. People don't change a whole lot. People do need a push of some kind to change, but you can't always change someone, sometimes it's not the right thing to try to change someone.

I know people can change for good. The hard thing to do is to get them to see/believe that what they are doing is wrong. Until people can see that, there's not much hope for them changing.

I know that people can change for the good! I am one of them, and I believe that it is that individuals motivation as to whether or not they are inclined to change.
Wanting someone to change wont change them. They have to be the ones to see the error of their ways and also be the ones to believe that change is needed...if not then your efforts are totally wasted!
