when you have done your best and can't do it anymore.
when you realize that no matter how hard you try, you can't do it yourself.
when you are finally ready to have some happiness.
there is never a good time to hurt another, but there is always time for you to take back your life and make yourself happy.

You give up when your partner is not interested in you anymore,and the love is totally gone.You only give up after you have tried every possible thing that you could to save the relationship. If one partner is not willing to try and make things work then i think its time to move on with your life. Worry about yourself and make yourself happy for once.

When you had enough. And you will no it. For example I gave my husband more chances then I could count. My husband cheating on me more then 10 X's. I know in my mind if he did one more time I was not going back. I just knew. In the past I said that a million times. But this last time I just knew. That was when I just gave up. I knew if he cheated on me one more time I was not ever, never going to give him a chance again.I had to drew the line in the sand sometime. And you know want, I did. My husband still calls me for one we have a son, and two he just wants to talk to me he miss me and he still loves me and he wants to be back together. But I just can't. You give up when you can't give no more. Your mind is made up and you not going to control that, your mind is set in motion, and you can't turn it off. Only you will know. I hope it works out for you.

u give up when there is only one interested in saving the marriage. when the other one has a different priority in life, and they seem to be walking down a road much different from the one we are on.

dont look at it like giving up, you just realize that the relationship isnt what you thought it was or just that you simply can not take it anymore...
then you dont 'give up', but rather, chose to live life.
i dont mean partying and all that, but after all of the bumps and bruises in the break up, you find.... "peace" again.

Ask yourself, have I done everything I can to save this? If I walk away now, will I regret not trying something else? If you can walk away knowing you will not regret trying harder later on, it is time to go. Good luck!

I gave up because I was tired of all the mental abuse that I took from my ex.About all we ever did was argue and my children were grown and moving out so what was there to stay for?

depends on what you limitations are. if you can say to yourself you have given it you all and no more can be done...then it is time to give up.
I am right there with ya!! i ask myself eveyday "when is enough enough"...i haven't given up yet! :)
