Look for a store that has recently gone bankrupt, they usually sell their store mannequins along with everything else, cash registers, shelving etc. Or watch for auctions of store equipment. If you are really desperate you could make your own with your very measurements using paper machete and some wire for a support system. Smear yourself with vaseline then have a friend cover your frame with paper machete quick set, you can buy this in a craft store, just explain what you are doing, let it set which takes about 15 to 20 minutes then cut it down the back and pry it off of yourself. Patch up the cut line and use the wire to mount it onto a frame or stand like an old coat rack. Now you have a mannequin displaying your own measurements. Good luck and have fun. You can also make it out of old newspaper and Elmers glue, but don't forget the vaseline or you may be wearing your creation to work the next day. When this one is totally dry coat it with about 3 to 4 coats of urethane floor sealant. It will dry hard and have a satin or shiny appearance depending on which you choose.

i know how to make one, if you are doing it for yourself, or someone specific you know.
first you cut a hole in a sheet and you put the sheet over there head, then you get as many roles of duck tape as you an, and you wrap there entire body, or rather the area you want the dress mold to be of, and one the dress mold is thick, you cut a slit down the back, which will also cut the sheet, and then you hot glue the two cut sides back together and stuff the mold with news paper.
it sounds crazy, but it really works well for doing project where you make clothes for other people, cause you have already got their exact measurements.

Maybe because I live in the New York metro, there's plenty of "store fixture" stores. You can also order one from a fabric store. I would look it up in the yellow pages for ones in your area. Another option is to go to another mom and pop shop and ask them where they got their manniquins. They may be able to direct you to the spot that they bought theirs.
