I'm 6 feet about 130 - 140 pounds and athletic but i need to gain weight please help

Cut your cardio as low as you can. Eat a balance of complex carbs such as brown rice and sweet potatoes. Look on the web for bodybuilder diets. You'll be eating 5 times a day more than likely.

Start a weight lifting program that concentrates on HEAVY with low reps rather than light weights and high reps.

I'm a slow gainer and I've found that a variety of super-sets works the best for me. You really have to shock your body everytime you work out.

Weight training helps a person build muscles and increase body weight. If you are a very active person, you should learn to relax, which will slow down your metabolic rate. Best and safest way to gain weight is to buy some weight gainer and it lots of pasta. You DO NOT WANT TO EAT WHITE BREAD, SUGAR, OR FAST FOOD. Its not good for you and it sounds like you want to put on muscle.

Go to a health store, they can guild you in the right directions.

Try eating food with high protein and carbohydrate content. Lots of meat, chicken, nuts, cheese, and pasta would be good. If you want to stay in shape, eat a lot of protein (or drink protein shakes) and then go lift weights at the gym.

Eat lots of pizza spaghetti and Lasgna lots of Carbs.go to a fitness store in the mall and buy some protein powder and mix drink with milk .chocalte chip flavor is good.eat lots of mash potatoes and gravy.but if you gain to fast its going to go to your gut. Lift weights will build muscle wich will weigh more than fat.take lots of protein powder with the weights and you will build muscle you will see results in 3 months.

Eat white foods, sugar, bread, rice, etc. I wish I had your problem. I am 5'6" and weigh 170 so you can borrow some of my weight if you would like and you won't even have to return it. Good luck:)
