Personally I feel it depends very much on the situation. Now I realise this is a bit of a cop out answer so I'll elaborate. The main problem is really how your relationship is at the moment.

If you are very close already, then it's probably a good idea to get a bit tiddly first and then broach the subject. Sure it may be a bit awkward if you don't get the answer you want, but as good friends you should get over it and if it goes really bad blame it on the drink.

If you're not that close yet, you still haven't got that much to lose. Drunk conversations are the way to go methinks.

Only real problem is if she is into you and thinks you only asked because cause you were drunk, Tricky one that..

It the person you feel towards is showing signs that he/she are perhaps feeling the same, well you could 'touch on the subject' but would have to be careful. Many people seem to run a mile when the direction of friendship is wanting to be steered another way by one of the two.

Honesty is always the best. It is called putting the best foot forward and going on with life without burning bridges.

In reality, this is not the responsibility of a friend. They are in a different criterion.

If you don't like a person it wouldn't be very nice. But if you really like them well that would be lovely unless it's more than like and they aren't free. In that case it would be dangerous cos people could get hurt.

Tell them how you fell, maybe they have some unction you could rub on the affected parts. How do you expect others to take you seriously when you can't be bothererd to correct your typos?

If you don't tell them then they will never know. Honesty is the best policy unless it is the partner of your best friend

Only best if you can already tell they feel the same. Otherwise always pointless and saddening.
