PCMCIA is quite entrenched in laptops design and having very different application and limitation so I never consider it on the same line along other buses.

None of them are PnP; all of them are old, the answer gotta be either EISA or MCA because ISA and PCMCIA are 16-bit to them 32-bit. MCA probably good bet to the answer.

I am not quite sure what previous post is blathering about, but this is obviously a history question.

They all are.
They are just different technologies.
Older ones run slower, while the new ones run faster.
You are limited with IRQs and Memory space.
That is why USB is predominant for attaching up to 128 devices.
The only problem is that they run slower.

There is also 2 different arcronyms for Video card slots.
I can't remember them off the top of my head.
1 technology is old, you won't find them around much anymore.

ISA and EISA are old technology. E is just extended.
PCI is newer technology. ISA and EISA is being replaced by ISA.

PCMCIA is used with laptops to install different devices, just like USB.

I'm not sure what MCA is.
