As far as I know, the UC's don't. There are some Liberal Arts Colleges (smaller, private colleges) which do look at 9th grade.

If you're worried about this, the main thing that administrators want to see is improvement in grades as you progress through high school, as opposed to declining grades.

they look at you as a whole, so unless you can skip your freshman year, its going to be there, by the way if you screw up freshman year in terms of grades, you will have to work twice as hard to get out of the red in your gpa. it only get worse after that.

The Univ of California schools don't. Most schools do tho.

Yes...they look at your overall transcripts and gpa etc.

and your GPA is also counting your freshman yr
