Watching Ben Affleck try to act is too overwhelming to be affected by anything in the movie. The best Pearl Harbor movie is the one they show at Pearl Harbor before you get on the boat to view the memorial. It will bring you to tears.

I feel that Cuba Gooding Jr. should've had a bigger part. And that the movie entirely missed the point of the Pearl Harbor attacks.

There were all types of emotions - happy, sad, worried, etc. It does remind me of Titanic. It was an excellent movie. I just actually watched for the first time earlier this week and highly recommend it. Just be prepared for a long movie.

Technically, that is totally possible. People often in wartime will join and fight independently as military contractors. In WWII, many airmen from the US joined to defend against Japanese aggression in China, and formed such groups as the Flying Tigers. More recently, there are members of the insurgency which have a number of foreign nationals fighting against the US independent of their own nation of citizenship. I believe there were some American volunteers who did fight with the British, but I doubt there numbers were that significant.

It's definately a love triangle between a girl and two best friends, but you really like both guys and are torn between who she should be with. Love the movie.

Great movie. Complete shock and horror, those poor guys. I think the movie almost is disrespectful in a way though, the way they perverted it with that love-story hollywood bull-s-h-i-t.

Confused. Because they portray Hawaii with no Asians on it when in reality the state is pretty much 80% Asian or Hawaiian.

If you already rented it, and havent watched it, you still have time to take it back and get another movie. It sucked..
