Near Dark is a really good movie starring Bill Paxton and Lance Henrikson as a gang of outlaws travelling through southwest America. One of their gang, a young girl seduces a local boy into joining them.
There's also the channel 4 six part mini-series Ultraviolet. It's a modern day drama about an elite government force that has been formed to combat the threat posed by the vampires who live among us in our daily lives.

These are not action films but they are difinitely interesting:
1. Shadow of the Vampire with John Malkovich
2. Bram Stoker's Dracula with Keanu
3. Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman
4. Nosferatu (which is the basis for Shadow of the Vampire)
5. Salem's Lot (original and remake)
