Currently Im in an argument about this with my parents, do colleges look at semester or nine weeks grades, I myself just thought they looked at GPA, and if they looked at grades at all semester because thats what the GPA is based off of, the average of both nine weeks, if Im wrong please correct me if Im wrong and I will keep my mouth shut about it, but I myself think Im am right, can someone help me here. And yes I know colleges arent just looking for grades, but they are important and thats why I am in IB, International Bacculareate Program.

Colleges look at your gpa and individual grades. A kid can have a 4.0 in all college prep classes and another kid can have a 3.5 in all honors/AP classes. Which kid did better in school? Your freshman, sophmore, and junior year grades will only be your final grade a.k.a all 4 semesters and your midterm and final averaged togather. It will be stated that this course was honors/ap/ib. Your senior grades will be sent off each semester (or just your midyear grades- depends) so they will see individual semester grades for your senior year only.

Great Job on the IB courses. I live in CT and they don't offer that her only AP/UCONN classes at my high school.

Colleges look at your cumulative GPA throughout your high school career to-date, and they also factor in outside activities and other extracurricular involvement, standardized test scores, etc.
