My husband and I are trying to concieve, according to my calculations I ovulated yesterday and hopefully I get pregnant this month. My question is, if I did conceive is it safe to exercise, before implantation, and then after implantation, how hard can I safely work out? I normally exercise 3 to 4 times a week, so this is not like I am trying to get a new exercise routine going. I normally walk at 3 miles per hour for 1 mile then do some light weight lifting, in the arms, squats stuff like that. Can I safely continue working out in early pregnancy without risk of miscarriage. By the way this is the first month that my husband and I have actually tried to conceive and this will be our first child.

The general rule is you can continue with the physical activities that you are normally accustomed too.
Gwen Stefani was on tour when she conceived, Madonna was making a musical, and we even had a female bobsledder at the Olympics who was pregnant.
You just have to pay attention and know when to slow down as you get farther along.

If you're active before you get pregnant, you can continue to be through your pregnancy, you just have to tone it down a bit as you get bigger. Talk to you OB about how much weight is safe and what you can and can't do throughout. Just don't wear yourself out. My stepmother is pregnant, (about 17 weeks) and she goes to the gym 3-4 times a week. She's only 5 years older than me, and I'm 37 weeks myself. (I'm 28, she's 33.) I walk, but have never been what you'd call athletic, so starting a routine now wouldn't be good for me.

The only thing they say not to do is strain your abdominal mucsles too much. Walking is fine, biking and swimming are also good, and anything that works your arms can't hurt. Loads o crunches, though, may be out. Of course, always talk to your doctor for verification. Good luck!

frequently you are able to proceed any type of workout you're conscious of in the previous being pregnant. (besides the undeniable fact that undemanding experience would say that in the adventure that your selected sport is ski leaping or rodeo driving or sky diving, you would prefer to come across a safer decision.) Dancing must be effective. (the reality that your mom had numerous miscarriages would not advise that you're at more beneficial probability.)
