Hi there Meagan,
Bleeding while you are pregnant is never what you would call normal however there are situations that are not medically serious and then those that are. If you are talking about a drop or two of blood, a small spot, then that is usually not anything to worry about. Bleeding of that nature can be caused by many fairly innocent things. However, if you are talking about actually bleeding, like in a period, then it is always serious.
If you are actively bleeding you need to be seen right away. I would suggest that you call your OB/GYN and ask them where they want to see you or just go directely to the ER. Some doctors would rather see you in their office due to concerns with insurance coverage and so that you do not end up with a large bill to pay.
Those are the two possible scenarios and I am going to hope that you were just talking about spotting.
Take care dear and good luck with your pregnancy.
Love and Blessings

With the risk of sounding like a repeat of what everyone else has said, it really depends on how much blood and many other factors. With my first child, I bled a little and went to the doctor immediately. And they couldn't find anything wrong. However, because I have a negative blood type, they gave me what is called a Rhogam shot. Summed up, when you have negative blood, and you are carrying a positive blood baby, if you bleed, it can mean that your blood has mixed with the baby's blood. And when that happens, within 72 hours, your body (if you have negative blood) will make antibodies against any baby that you get pregnant with in the future that has positive blood, and your body will either cause the next positive baby to have defects or to die. So... all of this is dependent on whether or not you have negative blood. If you do, it is important for you to let your doctor know... and if you don't know, your doctor should check and take the necessary precautions. I just thought that was important to mention as an aside.
As far as the bleeding, my aunt had six children. During two of her pregnancies, she had a regular period the whole time. And they were fine. And she was fine. During her other four, she didn't bleed at all. So...
I would go to the doctor or other medical professional, because there are so many possibilities that you can't possibly come up with the answer yourself. And we can't tell you, either. That is my answer.
And if you know God, pray.

Of course it not normal.
The question is what isthe quality of the bleeding. Spot or is it dripping. What stage of pregnancy you are in? This will determine the degree of severity of the condition.
Its best to see you doctor. If spotting you just might be adviced bedrest or if it is profuse it could be a spontanoues abortion then you need to go to the ER.

I was told that bleeding at ANY TIME during pregnancy should be brought to the attention of your physician. For any situation, pregnant or not, any time you see blood it means something. So if you see blood ANYWHERE esp during pregnancy it should be checked out!
