I don't know. I like some of the new ones like the two-line pass since that really speeds up the game. But other things like simple lovetaps can cause delayed penalties which really slows it down. I mean, we don't even see the hard checks anymore because of the new rules from great D-men like McCabe, Pronger, and Neidermeyer (sp?). If Scott Stevens was dead, he'd be rolling in his grave.
I don't why the no-touch icing rule hasn't come into affect yet. It'll speed up the game even more without having some guy gingerly skate back to his end to touch the puck for an icing.
And don't give best answer to the first guy. What a bag o' douche...

I like the new rules better. The emphasis on calling obstruction calls has opened the ice up and let stars be stars and exposed garage league plumbers for what they are. The thing that no one talks about that I love is the new rink dimensions.
By shrinking the neutral zone and the space behind the goal they have made the zones bigger. Now teams can keep the puck in the zone with out every little tap causing the play to reset. Powerplays are able to cycle the puck, be creative and keep the puck in the zone.
One thing regarding the new rules that I would change is the trapezoid rule, when a team is on the powerplay nullify that rule, it allows the PK to simply dump the puck into a corner and a goalie is unable to retrieve it so a skater has to chase all the way down ice for it and the powerplay has to start over 200 ft away.

I actually like the new rules a lot more. I grew up playing hockey and really enjoyed the old rules. But since the change it, has caused scoring to go up along with the penalties at first. With all the holding and hooking being called now it allows the games better players like Crosby to have more room to skate and work their magic in the open ice. So in conclusion, I like the old rules just prefer the new ones now.

The new rules have made the game move faster
But I think most of the new rules, especially the new obstruction calls are ruining the game
Hockey was always a full contact sport

I like the new rules better. Especially the shutouts rule, because they don't have to play in overtime till 2 o'clock in the morning, to win a game.
