How soon would a test show you as positive? A few days? weeks? after you're period is due?
If I get a pregnancy testing kit when I can I do it to show a positive reading if I am pregnant?

as a gynae nurse, the ealiest you can get a positive test will be a day after your period if you know your monthly cycle. this will be the best way to do it if you want to know for sure.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

A blood test however will show if you are pregnant 7 days following conception.

I would say the day your period is due. I did a test a couple of days before my period was due and it was negative, then I did one the day after my period was due and it was positive. And I bought one of those tests that is supposed to tell if your pregnant before your period is due.

I found out the day I was supposed to start my period, but you can take a test 3-5 days before ur period is due. If it is negative tho, just repeat it in 2 days. HCG levels almost double every 48 hours... Every woman is different.

if you are having any symptoms of pregnancy get a test. Also think about abstinence..

You generally test a few days after your missed period. It takes a while for the egg after it has been released during ovulation to be fertilized and then implanted. Apx 10 days, you need to test then.

Most likely if two of your monthly period(s) didn't come out as expected, this should raise some alarm.
Pregnancy test kits can be done early in the morning.

the clearblue test shows 5 days before a missed period. but other than that most show from the first day of a missed period

lol - patience is the key, although I was the same when i was first trying. i found out 4 days BEFORE my period was due with a first response test. I i just knew I was before that tho, just a feeling. Good luck

At the very least, ten days, but y ou may still get a negative then even if you are pregnant. So if you do, try again when your period is due.
