Scientifically some people function better in the morning, some in the afternoon, and some in the evening. If you are not a morning person, it will be difficult to get motivated in the morning, I usually start with a shower, some strong coffee with breakfast, and a dose of energy vitamins, (from GNC or the like) I try to take the vitamins about 1/2 hour before I need to be alert. this gives them time to work. Other than that.....Good Luck. =)

try and pay attention to your body signals in the evening, yanwning, burning eyes, take note of time, thsi is your body bed cycle. some people need more than 8 hours sleep, try sleeping 9 or 10 hours. Exercise during the day (not just before going to bed), take a walk, ride a bike, start with going round a park or a block and slowly increase pace and or distance or both, go to the gym, take a yoga class

I set my alarm like an hour ahead of when I actually need to be up and hit the snooze alarm until I absolutely HAVE to get up. Then it's coffee.... lots of coffee...

Luckily, I have a really cool roommate that has no problem getting up in the morning and the coffee is generally ready by the time I drag my sorry a** out of bed.

Hello,
Drink less the night before, go to bed earlier, maybe change your job for one you would enjoy getting up for, have a loud Radio alarm, have your wife bring you a small breakfast to your bedside, show it to you, and bring it back to the kitchen again, and holler at you " if you ain't here in 5 minutes, neither will your breakfast nor myself,
Get a job where you only work the nightshift, and you can rightly go to your bed in the morning, and stay in it all day, but what ever you do, change something in your life, that will change it for the better, so you can have a better quality of lifestyle, then you can start to live a little and rest more. but hey man! you just gotta do something, 'Bye, I am sleepy, and I have to get up early in the morning, it's Saturday and it's my day off....... I hate getting up in the morning - its unnatural! I only like getting up at around 9.30 and even then I feel tired. There is nothing wrong - its quite natural - especially during winter months. Wait til summer- you'll start to feel much better getting up when the sun is shining!

I tend to sleep in for long periods of time because I feel I have nothing to get up for. Could that be the reason for you too? Since I realized that, I started giving myself things to do in the morning...I signed up for an early morning class and made of list of things that need to be done around my place. Also trying to keep a regular schedule helps in getting up in the mornings.

Get an old fashioned alarm clock, the kind that has the 2 bells on the top, set it for the time you want to get up. Turn on the alarm, then place clock in a metal pail on the other side of your bedroom. You WILL get up to turn that one off!!

Give yourself an incentive for getting up. A chocolate bar, or a favourite CD to wake up to, that gives you the buzz to get up, & look forward to the day. You may have a long day at work, but at least you'll have got up in the right frame of mind.

One should consider this a benefit rather than a problem. All you need do is roll over and give my ear a soft kiss! I'm sure this will take care of the "problem".
