I don't know if you have it or anything like it in Australia, but try Mederma. The sooner you use it, the better results you'll see.

About a year and a half ago, I was in a bad car accident and had deep laceration all the way down to the bone. The dermatologist who stitched me up recommended I use Mederma to help with the scarring. These days, my scars are barely noticeable. If it can help heal that mess, it can probably help with your stretch marks. It even says on the packaging that it can be used for stretch marks.

Stretch marks are formed when a person suddenly gains weight as the skin stretches quickly. Scars may be formed due to pimples, boils or injuries. They gradually fade away after some time or as the person loses weight. You can find more cheap and natural remedies for stretch marks at http://arzi.org/

Stretch marks are caused by rapid stretching of the skin, such as pregnancy or rapid weight gain. The skin fibers break apart and that's why the angry red marks. They will fade over time to a purple and then silvery white, but you have them forever. There is no cream on the market to get rid of them, contrary to what a lot of marketing people would like you to think. Don't waste your money. A nice moisturizer will help with the flaking and itching but the stretch marks are yours.

I have heard that vitamin E works. I got big way to fast, both of my children were over 9lbs. I have alot of stretch marks and its hard but I just look at them as child birth war wounds! LOL....They fade over time and really won't look as bad. You can get laser to lighten them after you have the baby. For now try the Vitamin E, both my sisters used it and they have way less marks but you better start now as they started in the early months. I also have heard that coco butter helps.
Best Wishes,
Tara
