Why do fast food joints ALWAYS manage to mess up your food order?

Seems like it is an impossible task to take the 5 seconds it takes to actually read a receipt and make sure the right food is in the bag . . .

I mean, come on- if I HAD to work at a fast food restaraunt, then I would at least do it well. Its not like people that work fast food don't eat fast food themselves. They should know how inconvenient and irritating it is . . . ??

There is one adult and 6 kids in a fast-food "restaurant" if you can call it a restaurant.

Those 6 kids are sharing an I.Q. Have you ever heard one speak a sentence all the way through without 4 "LIKEs" and 3 "YOU KNOWs". My count is somewhat arbitrary and should be considered an absolute minimum.

Seriously, my oldest daughter managed a pizza parlor for years. She could write a book about the kids she had working for her.

Young people expect to drop out of school half way through the 8th grade. Then they expect to go immediately into a high level executive position in a Fortune 500 company. They want a high 6 to low 7 figure income, plus benefits, stock options, and no particular duties to perform.

Even the ones who graduate high school can't read their diploma. I have a nephew with a high school diploma. His reading ability is so bad he had to have an examiner read the question on the written portion of his driver's license test.

Frankly, I am amazed some of them are able to find their way to work.

Unfortunately it all depends on the place and the time of day...whether the kids working give a rat's a$$, and whether you order something complicated. I do special order things, this guarantees that they make my food fresh. I always check the bag before I leave. Even better, I have been avoiding fast food whenever possible. Lost 6 pounds so far!

I love eating fast food, but I do hate it so much when they screw up the order. They should give you some kind of coupon for a free burger, don't you agree? It's ecspecially inconvenient, when you are on your lunch break! I wish they would just take the time to get it right.

Fast food joints are filled with young un focused youth and the rush to get the product out in a hurry does not help either.

I'm sorry about your bad luck. It must be in your area though because the fast food place i work at hardly ever makes mistakes. It is extremely confusing sometimes when you get several orders back to back that are at least 20 dollars.

The people who work there do try but I can tell you this when our screen is full of orders and we get all these special requests it makes things very confusing.If you dont like it your going to most likely complain and they dont want that.Imagine you are trying to fill orders and you have to get frys get drinks take orders and money the way I do.Theres always someones screaming in my ear at the drive thru and I try but our restaurant is very shorthanded so maybe that is the problem.

hi Jay ... quickly food places , commonplace eating places , and " plush " eating places have all fouled up orders I surely have submitted. It does complication me even as human beings won't be able to do straight forward issues acceptable and are even reluctant to make the order or food acceptable. tens of millions order stuff at stress-throughs and get abode with something far diverse from what they'd ordered.

People make mistakes. there are the risk you take when you eat fast food. Now if it's a constant problem, then you can fuss. however, if yuo're fussing about every single time and every single place and location, then you're wrong.

Well some people just don't care as long as they get payed well. Others try to impress their boss by being quick so they don't pay enough attention as they would if someone wasn't breathing on the back of their neck. And other people are just stupid.

the workers work at minimum wage, and they have to deal with some rude costumers (not you but other people who have so much patients at the end of the work day) and they only can take so much. also, most of the workers at the restaurant have working long shifts on most day so they can only take so much since they could be tired from standing all day.
