are they more likely to reject you even if you took honors courses?

i was just wondering..

They think you're likely smart, but lazy.

Whether they'll give you a chance depends on other things, like your extra currics, etc.

There's a chance your school was just insanely hard, you gave up hope, and you need a new environment for a fresh start. If you show enough promise in areas other than your GPA, maybe the college will give you a chance.

It depends on the school of course. The top ones have enough applicants with high grades and GPA that you're not worth their time. The lower schools are the ones who may consider taking a chance on you.

It depends on the school. I know most state colleges would accept you and worse case scenerio put you on academic probation for that GPA.

If your sats were in around the to 25% you get into most schools except the most selective. State schools should accept you.

from what i here...first colleges makes decisions by lookin at ur SAT scores..then they pick u according to ur extracurricular activities, grades, and what courses u took...so basically grades are important but it depends on wat colleges u apply to

they'd probably assume you are bright but a slacker.
