I'm really looking forward to grad school next year, and have a couple interviews coming up. Other schools don't require interviews, so I'm just waiting and waiting... I constantly check my email and hover around the mail, I try to do things to prepare for the interviews, but there's only so much I need to actually do... I'm bored and restless...

Don't call them. They'll just tell you to wait and you may annoy them.

Just keep busy by doing other things. Go out with friends. Start a new hobby. Continue an old one. It's a waste of energy to think about something like this (too early for notification for a lot of grad schools).

Actually, since you have a couple of interviews coming up, start preparing. Ask friends to interview you. See if your school has people who help students prepare for interviews. Look up possible questions on the web.

It is simple just call up each school and tell who ever is concerned that you have put in your applications and have not heard anything so far so you were just curious to find out what is going on whether your is in consideration and about how soon you will hear some thing, if you live in the town where you are waiting it would be better to speak to some one in person.
