I have a central Heat\AC unit outside my home. I'm a do it yourself person. The problem is the heat(electric) won't blow out with the thermostat on AUTO. With it on the Fan Auto\Heat position there is a Click,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Click and it does this every min and a half with no heat blowing out. The clicking is coming from the central unit outside.
I have figured out that with the thermostat in the Fan ON\Heat, the heat works and the air blows out just fine, but you have to turn Off to stop it.
Any idea what I can replace to fix this? Thanks,,

Take the cover off the stat there should be a switch that changes it for gas to elect.heat if not or if your setting in program set for a gas furnace check instruction manual should describe for you to change.the default or factory setting is for gas furnaces.Should take care of your problem.

either of the first two answers could be correct, but if the problem just started with nothing changed, tstat, furnance, its probably not your thermostat. if it is the relay turn the power off before you open it up. electric heat usually works on low speed unless its a heat pump which it probably works on high speed. relays will be different for a electric furnance and a electric heat pump, know what you have

It sounds like you have a bad relay. Remove the cover and see if yu can tell which relay it is then with the power off remove and replace
