If the fish did eat the snail you should kill it. You shouldn't encourange that sort of behavior. Make an example of that fish and scare the others into submission.

I'm laughing like hell right now. Who on earth keeps a snail as a pet?
What's next, Oompa-loompas as pets? Old people as pets?The fact that you can press their eye and it will slowly shrink back into it's head, with out it fighting back is a good enough excuse not to have a snail as a pet. The link below is what I imagine you looking like....

im no longer that conscious of aquatic snails yet whilst it rather is attaching itself to the glass then its in all probability eating the algae interior the tank and that i think of it could b advantageous if this is so. it could desire to b similar to a cleanser fish that survives off of algae and extra nutrition.
