When my daughter was a toddler, she would drop everything to watch that show- it was like it put her in a trance! I think she liked the purple dinosaur, but the songs and the kids are very appealing to small children. They like to hear the songs and imitate the dances. I know Barney gets a bad rap, but kids could be watching much worse things!!

because kids are kids and barney is lovable and laughs and giggles funny,he,s big and kind of round fat and the color for some reason attracts kids.it is also an educational program for kids to watch and enjoy just like blues clues is too.

i used it watch barney but now i do not but only when it is on and i have no thing to do. so i think kids that still watch barney are cool i also think barney is a little cool but kids do not like him because he is purple they like him because he is fun and cool and becaues he is cool two a lot of little kids think that even me and i am 10 years old and i even like MTV beter cool but not as cool as barney!!!!!!!!!!

Because its not boring to watch and aside from that kids like the show with lots of music.
