What are you trying to do? The options you have given should not come into play during the set up of a wireless connection.

If this is a setting for the wireless router itself, you would just use cable.

you have a wrong concept your computer does not have wireless internet connection i'm quite sure that the device that's giving you the wireless signal is the cable one but the only thing that you have wireless is the LAN not the internet connection if you had wireless internet connection you should be using an anthena that you can take from a place to another In your city i mean and the only thing that you would need was to plug it to the power line .
Modem dialup= internet by phone
ISDN =faster than dial up but still phone
CABLE/DSL= means either you are using cable or dsl service they join them due to the speed equivalence that they offer
DSL (PPPoE) the same DSL described above
Extreme not quite sure but i think it is an ISP rather than a technology of internet service

This really depends on the service you have.

Typically you will have CABLE/DSL or DSL(PPPoE).

This should (unless you are setting up your router) not matter much if you have an existing internet connection as far as configuration of your wireless computer.

As far as it's concerned, I would select CABLE/DSL.

you may actual set up both pcs in a small community configuration so as that both pcs can get proper of entry to the internet. in addition they can artwork independantly from one yet another. to commence off, i'd not propose utilising Win 9x with the internet by using the indisputable fact that is has too many protection issues. case in element, with XP, it is going to take care of antagonistic to (for the most area) having the gadget records replaced or deleted, yet Win 9x does not provide such protection. you may enable report Sharing between both pcs, regardless of the indisputable fact that it heightens the prospect of having one pc promptly infecting the different. What you opt on- you opt on to purchase a router which will connect which includes your internet modem. Your pcs will connect with the router (not one yet another). If the pcs at the instantaneous are not far remote from one yet another and the cable modem is close by, you may steer away from spending better funds on a instantaneous setup. For a stressed out setup, you purely purchase a daily router and set up a PCI Ethernet community card in each and each pc in the journey that your pcs don't have a outfitted-in community card. then you absolutely purchase Ethernet cables to connect both pcs to the router, and consider were given a million cable connect from the cable modem to the router. both pcs can get proper of entry to the internet together, via the router. that is likewise available to percentage records and your printer between both pcs via the router besides. A instantaneous router and instantaneous PCI community playing cards (or instantaneous USB community contraptions) are better expensive and a touch harder to envision. in case you flow instantaneous, get a 108 mpbs router and instantaneous community playing cards. keep on with the teachings that got here with the router to set each thing up, or you may usually call your ISP once you're having worry.
