I love the last verse of the ***** national anthem:
God of our weary years,
God of our silent tears,
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who has by Thy might
Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, Our God, where we met Thee;
Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee;
Shadowed beneath Thy hand,
May we forever stand.
True to our GOD,
True to our native land
but what's so boring about the actual one? It's about an amazing time in our history, the war of 1812 could've been the end of the nation, but the battle in maryland was a turning point. I have no problem appreciating them both.

Even though I was shocked the first time I heard the Black National Anthem at a Census 2000 rally, I must admit that it is indeed beautiful. I just thought it a strange choice at a government function with an Assemblyperson officiating.

We have a national anthem that we have had for many years, boring or not. There is no such thing as an accepted Black anthem. If blacks want to keep advancing their standing in America, they need to join us all and continue to elect leadership to congress and continue to advance their agenda. We all are americans, white and black.
