My boyfriends and I have been arguing about this for a while, he had lots a friends and now they all ditch him and forget about him, I've never had a friends who didn't do do those things to me. He says I'm better off because I didn't trust people then lose them, I think we're about the same because we're both sooo bored on weekends. At least he know what it's like to have frineds, I don't even know what they do together or how to act around friends.

I think it's better to have more friends and lose them. In reality, very few things last forever, except your parents and children. Most people would meet a number of new friends from time to time, who they would lose contact with after some time. However out of the many people we meet, a few would end up as our good and real friends, friends we can confide in and can share our good and bad times with. If we never have any friends to start with, we are missing a part of life.

I think it is best to have had friends at one point rather than never have any. I have never had any good friends, people who said they were my friends treated me like crap and used me. To look back in your life and see nothing but emptyness and sitting at home alone its extreamly painful. I wish that I had someone at least at one time in my life when I was growing up. When you have never had friends you wonder if you are capible of getting and keeping any at all...you wonder if you deserve to have friends.

I think you are about even. Your boyfriend has his memories but now no friends...You have no memories but no friends. no friends + no friends = No friends...but you two are friends, no? so focus on enjoying what you do have...friends come and go...especially when one friend has a significant other and the other friend(s) don't...use his social skills, let him teach you and together you could find couple friends you both like...You didn't ask for advice but I gave it anyway...couldn't help myself... Good Luck!
