Have you ever heard of jumping the fence?

Some of my co-workers were asking me if I would be willing to jump the fence and I had never heard of the term but from context I could figure out what they were talking about. What does jumping the fence mean to you?

I've heard of it as a reference to inter-racial couples as in "Would you be willing to date someone outside of your race?"

Yes, I have. It is converting from a heterosexual lifestyle to a lifestyle of homosexuality.
