I'm planning to have a tummy tuck procedure done but I'm nervous about the surgery. I don't have a problem with the after part of the surgery but before the surgery is my concern. The day of the surgery what do they do? Will I be asleep before I get in the surgery room or do they do everything once I get to the room. Do they completly sleep you or all you just numb and your alert? If anyone had a tummy tuck please let me know what to expect?

Most places won't put you completely out until your in the room and on the surgical bed. Before that they'll start an IV. If you want, you can certainly tell your dr. that your nervous and would like something for your anxiety and they'll give you something. Also - once you get into the surgical room and onto the surgical bed almost all surgeons move things along so within minutes your out and the next thing you know, your awake. It's scary initially but let your doctor know that your a little freaked out and he'll give you something to calm down. Good Luck.

You'll be completely out. But, I would have a long consultation with the plastic surgeon before you decide if you really want a tummy tuck.

No. I just think she was out of shape and not taking care of herself. She was partying and drinking a lot. That will pack on the pounds. She was suffering from a lot of depression and probably not eating right. Now I think that she is more together and taking better care of herself.
