On your computer under the iTunes program, right click the song and press delete.

You have to uncheck the songs in the iTunes library. First plug youre iPod into the computer and run iTunes. Then on the main menu of the iPod in the source list check that the box that says only update checked songs, if it is not checked check it. Then in the iTunes library uncheck the songs you don't want. Then go to file and hit sinc ipod. Whenever you plug your ipod in it will only update the checked songs.

If you're really haveing trouble using itunes to delete the music off of your ipod, go to my computer, then double click on the ipod drive. When you're to the drive, go to tools - folder options -view and then select "view hidden files". You can now see all the music files on your ipod, and can go in and delete them manually.
