This is actually two questions in one: (a) are mobile 'phones really an alien technology, and (b) are they designed to control us?

In answer to part (a), I'd say, as far as I know, aliens don't have mobile 'phones as such, however, there are some people who would argue quite seriously that the technology that makes mobile telephony possible (as well as the microchips that make personal computers possible), is alien in origin. [Those same people would also argue that stealth technology, kevlar and the technology that makes "star wars" weaponry possible are also alien in origin. Whether the aliens gave earthlings that technology, or whether it was traded, or whether we reverse engineered samples of their technology is more debatable, there is probably a bit of each.] How silicon chip technology is APPLIED appears to be strictly terrestrial.

To part (b) of your question, are mobiles designed to control us? I think the answer is, "No." Obviously, the base stations (and satellites &c) that transmit the signals that form our communications need to be able to track mobiles, otherwise we'd end up talking to the wrong person. This tracking technology can then be used to find a person's mobile, and, hopefully the person. [I say "hopefully", because, in the majority of cases where a mobile signal is used to track someone, it is to find a missing person, or to catch a criminal.]

Uh no they are not. Cellphones are made by us humans. It's one of the world's latest inventions which keep developing. Most Cellphones are designed by companies overseas - like Japan. Your famous brands like, Sharp come from there - not only cellphones, but TV's, Gameboys, PS2's... etc. These are the latest technology- are you implying that Japanese people are aliens? No, don't be silly. We are all human, unless you have a mental condition where you THINK you are an alien... don't worry. Your cellphone is not an evil device that will control your mind to do stupid things against your will.

Besides, I'm sure if aliens wanted to control us - they could think of better ways of doing it. =)

Cell Phone technology did not come out of no where, but is a result of different communication technologies over the years. It was a gradual advancement from regular telephone communication, to walkie talkies, to radio communications, eventually going global with Satellite communication. Since we can see the gradual advancement of communications which lead to cell phone techology, I dont think its alien Technology.

If there were a technology that came about from no where which was beyound our comprehenshion, then may be your question would have received "possibly yes" kind of answers. But with Cell phone, it in not alien technology.

I seen a show yesterday where they track this cop by his cell phone they said cell phones have a chip that can track a person . are the aliens still looking for those alien that crash in mexico. one place to go if they come and only I know that place no one find me there. be well be safe from aliens

Yes in the sense that the technology in them is alien to most people and they are addictive and take over your way of doing things really fast, so controlling in that way. I can hardy remember what life was like without them.

Maybe!...every airborne signal can be captured; and every time you make a call from a cell phone, the phone transmits it's IMEI (something like the phone ID) to the central processing unit so they know where you are on every moment. This also happens when you power on/shut down your phone.

Where did you get the idea? No, they're human technologies and they aren't made to control us, they were made to provide voice telephone and other services to mobile users. And can a radio transceiver control us?!?!
