how long does it take for the tide to change in Pokemon Emerald for Shoal Cave. It is high right now and its taking for ever to go down again

Every 6 hours but 24 hours for them to grow back!

There's an average of 6 hours and 12 minutes between high and low or between low and high tides although this figure can vary quite a bit.

The time between successive high or low tides is pretty much constant at 12 hours 24 minutes (it's governed by the lunar day).

Don't know if that helps or if it relates to Pokemon.

The real time is not counted in games like leafgreen or emerald but in DS pokemon games. The tide timing is every six hours. That means your gameplay timing (check in trainer card or while saving) should increase by six hours. And game's one hour is not equal to real one hour if you use space bar.
