You can not clean your system with volcanic ash. Actually, volcanic ash can be harmful (i.e. silicosis).

Volcanic ash will kill you, very slowly. Of course, if you want to brush your teeth with charcoal, go ahead. The Lowell Mills people used to do it.

What ! You mean your radiator?? Volcanic ash is closely akin to ground glass, or asbestos. Die a long, slow death from cancer. Only a dumbass would try it.
