I don't want to play the piano but I'd like to know what Minor scales are, what Major scales are, what an "a" chord is "c" chord etc. Why you only go from certain notes to others?
Or if anyone knows of any good websites that explain this while keeping it relativaly simple.
Thank you :)

This is Music Theory and not really just piano and should apply to all of music.

try www.musictheory.net this site has tutorials with all of the basics to more advanced music theory and you would be able to work your way through the concepts.

thats not really piano basics... thats early music theory. your best bet is take a class your school offers, or get lessons for an instrument such as guitar or piano. plenty of music books and software is available too. google search music theory basics or how a scale works. there really isnt room here for me to explain it. but a chord is a set of notes played together at the same time. the name of the chord determines the pitch interval between the notes in the chord. some chords have 2 notes and some have like 7+

Ok, theres a treble clef and a bass clef. There's a "middle C" which is well, the middle C. The white keys are all natural, and the black are all notes with accidentals. If you don't understand what i just said, i recommend a private tutor. :D
