In as much as femininity might include civility, social graces, or being anything other than a loud, foul-mouthed harridan who constantly brags about how "strong" you are (proven by your willingness to get daddy government to fight all your battles for you), then yes, NOW has SEVERELY damaged femininity.

In fact, I'd say it's damaged beyond repair. I frequently see articles written by women talking about how they're tired of pussywhipped SNAGs (Sensitive New Age Guys) and how they want a "real man" to work 80 hours a week and take care of them while they pretend to be a homemaker while they hire a nanny and a maid. In other words, they want to pretend to take up the old roles without actually doing so, without showing support to a husband who leads the family, and most certainly without contributing anything of value.

But ya know what? The dynamic is so damaged that it has effectively freed men as well. There's no way in hell I want to work all week to come home to a leech who has been warming the couch all day. And thanks to feminism and NOW's crusade, I no longer have to feel obligated to!

Count your blessings.

Has NOW damaged femininity? No, for all intents and purposes, it destroyed it.
When I think of NOW or it's apologists, I think of women wearing plaid shirts, short haircuts, work boots, jeans with belly fat hanging over the tooled belt, a mustache and act like they have a toothache.. and you caused it.
The truth is, even the feminists who are demure in appearance and polite at first turn into claws and attitude within seconds. There are very few feminine women left. They are hard to find but well worth the effort.
"It's the incivility of these feminist people that gets to me. Most of them seem to have the manners of a guard dog , but without the utility. (I know, I know, I'm going to get angry letters. From guard dogs.). For pure bile, you can't beat a radical feminist. The average specimen can turn out bad temper for hours on end, like lumber from a sawmill, and any of it sounds like all the rest... Any loon feminist can accuse men of being rapists, killers, sadists, and Marines. These are pretty serious charges. A fellow could take exception to them. But if I say something comparatively innocuous in return, such as that I weary of being harried by a rat-pack of diesel-fired tarantulas who mostly look like Rin Tin Tin's littermates--why, they get mad. (Yes, I know, that was a three-animal zoological-automotive metaphor. Patent applied for)."

No, Feminist theory has nothing to do with being feminine. It is about being treated equality and having opportunities open to women

Now, if feminity means dressing slutty and getting unnecessary cosmetic sugery, then Feminist theory can be harmful since it tries to booster the confidence of women.

No...how would they? NOW has done a lot for women in the workplace, protecting women (and men) against domestic violence, etc. But what does it have to do with femininity? It's not as if NOW sends out "memos" to women on how to be more like men.

No. And I don't have to explain, because you're making the less believable, less established position. The burden of proof lies on your end, not mine. NOW has done wonderful things for women, but in the end women are still treated as inferior compared to men (at least, in the workplace).

Nobody can actually damage your femininty unless you allow it. Real women are stong and feminine, not weak and cowering as the stereotype goes. It's not realistic. Empowered women do Not allow others to decide anything for them. Power is allowing others to be who they are without intimidating or controlling! Cowards and people with no back bone do that!
