not familar with water cooled, but the only thing i can think of for antifreeze to be in the oil would be a crack in the block somewhere. if a head gasket went south, u'd have dense white smoke...especially if its cold out. i had a leak around the water pump in my old van, and had no water in the oil. 99% certain u have a cracked block.

Dude, here is an easy one for you. I found the same thing when I checked my oil level at the dipstick neck. (I have an H-D FXDWG with the TC-88.) The seal on my dippy was bum, and since I ride in all weather (Here in Florida, that is.) the rain was being forced past the bad seal and into the crankcase. Another thing (Which I don't do.) could be water forced in through the dippy by pressure washing. Last rice burner I rode was a '77 Yamaha XS 650, so I don't know squat about the FZR.
(I do know that little 650 was one hell of a bike! If I abused my FXDWG like I did that poor XS, I'd blow a jug in a heartbeat!)

Its most likely condensation as your not getting engine hot enough for long enough to boil it off.
How far do you travel and at what speed?
Its going to take about 10~15 miles to get hot (unless your somewhere that has high daytime temps) and bike needs to say hot for 30~40 mins to keep oil 'dry'
I'm pretty sure FZR has external water pump (lower left side?) so if thats leaking it usually drips onto floor. ( there should be a drain hole between crankcase and pump drive) You would also notice coolant level dropping (have to fill header tank)

With all bike repairs the best method is to work on process of elimination.
Start at the water pump and work back.
Unfortunately after getting water in the oil you are probably in for a rebuild anyway as the water would have damaged your engine and seals anyway.
No easy way out , if you replace the water pump and dont rebuild your bike is going to have a very short life.

I would think it more than likely to be a head gasket as I know water in with the oil is a good sign that you have done one. Having a stuffed head gasket doesn't necessarily produce smoke, but am afraid that is all I know about it from what I have picked up from hanging around motorbikes to long.

nope a cracked head or block doesn't necessarily smoke it depends if its only leaking into the oil pan there would be no smoke,or if its a small leak you wouldn't notice with your eye anyway , a good way to tell is to put a rag at the rear end of the tailpipe AFTER its warmed up and running if the rag its moist after a minute or two then you know its leaking into the combustion chamber don't test it till it warms up so it has time to dry out the normal exhaust condensation , it wont smoke visibly until it has one leg in the junk yard right now its just a foot in

I agree w/ rifleman. If it is just water in your oil it could be a clogged drain tube (my Honda had a clogged tube). When I would ride in the rain or humid weather, water would appear in the oil.
If it is coolant, that is another story that others have already weighed in on.
