There is a REALLY GOOD book that explains the entire Constitution in detail, and it's a new book with very reputable sources. It's entitled "The Heritage Guide to The Constitution", published by Regnery Publishing in Washington, D.C., in 2005. It's Chairman of the Editorial Advisory Board is Edwin Meese III, who was the U.S. Attorney General under President Ronald Reagan, and it's Senior Editor is Dr. David F. Forte who is a former Chief Counsel to the United States delegation to the United Nations. Depending on where you live, you might find it in a local library.
