I don't think so. The only reason (I believe) the remade ECW was because the WWE no longer had the Hardcore Championship and fans wanted something more hardcore than what we see on Raw/Smackdown. Thats where ECW came in because it was different from the RAW/Smackdown thing.

But WCW as far as I can remember featured normal wrestling as seen already on the WWE. So no big gimmick to be foound in the revival of WCW.

I don't think so. They only revived ECW brand because it had its own cult following that they wanted to tap more money out of. The WCW didn't have the same type of fans, and most of the people who really liked WCW are watching TNA.

I doubt it. Just changing names is all it would amount to. Better writing seems to be happening and that's what they've needed for some time.
