I don't think you really need us to tell you the answer to that.

I do think that you need to grow up a little. If you stay scared of him, you're only going to stay distracted and you're going to keep him distracted. Say hi (he'll be nervous too), get to know him and hang out.

The reference made to puppy love is right on the money here. You two are so incredibly scared of each other that neither one of you are willing to do anything about it. I bet if you 2 were puppies and some girls were playing with yas while having a sleepover Beethoven marathon (it's a girly dog love story from around 1995), you two would get so much attention from them. First, they'd pick you guys up and pet yas in their laps. Then, they'd try to introduce you to each other and you would glance at each other then look away. THEN, when everyone's attention is on the movie, you would stare at each other and get together and snuggle and cuddle and lie down together. Then all the girls would say, "Awww!!!" and you'd start barking and howling and running around and playing tug of war with a chew toy and he'd start slobbering and you'd be smiling and....

Well that's puppy love for ya. It's one of those few times in your life when you can be completely naive and innocent and the other person will never ever take advantage of you. This guy likes you and wants you to like him too. He's just afraid to admit it. You don't have to get in his face and all, just say hi and get to know each other. Maybe you'll kiss at a dance or at the movie theatre, but you'll definitely be friends when this passes over.
