No exactly categorized as a self-help book, but there's a lot of wisdom that can be personally applied in the Tao Te Ching. I like the translation by Stephen Mitchell.
The same applies to the Bhagavad Gita.

The Bible is my personal favorite, although I guess it really couldn't be classified as "self"-help.
I guess I would have to go with the other poster who said "The Big Book of AA"---every person alive should read this book, for a happy life!
