I have the exact same trait. I am 33 and have never had a beard or even a moustache. If i try to grow it I look like a tool. I shave twice a week and buy 3 packs of razors 3 cans of shave gel a year. I 'd know if i have Native American genes. Never heard it called an underbeard. I was called the Amish beard guy.

LoL yes, but i'v always thought of it as a "neckbeard". Im a 25 year old guy, and i can grow crazy muttonchop sideburns and lots of hair on my neck, but can not grow a goatee if i tried...hair just does not grow there...also, i have very dark hair, but my sideburns and neckbeard grow in half black, half red

It's just how it goes. My facial hair grows in different colors, thicknesses and directions all over. You can't do anything about it.
