We as american's don't really care that much about anna nicole smith. The media is forcing our level of caring by taking over all news staions with the coverage. Personally, i don't give a rats a-- about anna nicole, but i find myself responding to anna nicole posts on yahoo answers because of the overwhelming majority of posted questions.
The media detemines what we talk about and what we care about. Sad but true.
Weird that Anna gets so much media attention, but the time dedicated to a pile of Ameircan hundred dollar bills - equalling over $12 billion - that was flown to and lost in Iraq is minimal if even covered.
Where and how our tax dollars are spent and corruption within the current administration must be far less important to the American people than an ex-playboy model's death.

She's a star. Of course she's gonna get extensive, over the top media coverage. And all the crazy events that made up her life are really interesting to viewers. We wanna hear more and know more even if she was a big annoying weirdo. Plus, it was so unexpected. How many 39 year olds do you know just up and die? It's not a tragic loss, but it is still sad just the same considering the circumstances.

initially, many if no longer lots of the individuals of the united statesA. care relating to the suffering of others, yet they prefer maximum individuals do no longer care very lots something that may no longer rapidly regarding them. 2nd of all, that's the mass media (such because of the fact the information) that care extra approximately reporting Anna Nicole Smiths death, than the yank militia's Deaths. of direction, whilst they have been given the order to concentration on the yank militia's Deaths back, Anna Nicole Smith's death would be forgotten non everlasting. As you will discover, the mass media do no longer represent the voice of the individuals, as a exchange that's the voice that choose to lead the individuals. i do no longer purchase the 'they only choose to sell stuff and make funds' argument, on condition that making income seem isn't intense of their priority, on the different hand getting funds from sponsors are intense of their priority. The mass media in many circumstances supply depressing issues that no person needs, yet they nevertheless make funds? are you able to assert funds laundering? the clarification many human beings talked approximately Anna Nicole Smith's death is because of the fact that's the biggest direction of what some mass media presented. You definetly be attentive to a minimum of something is marvelous is happening whilst Steve Irwin replaced into presented a State Funeral via the government of Australia and he replaced into pronounced interior the comparable point as a flesh presser.

Anytime someone famous dies (well, at least celebs), the media goes overboard and we all have to listen to endless blather about it. I don't care either, but apparently many who don't seem to have their own lives going in any direction do. All you can do is try and ignore all the blather by the media, and know that eventually, like all these cases, it will fade from view. Remember when everyone was going wild about Steve Irwin's death? That's all anyone talked about. That was nearly six months ago now, and everyone is on to some other story, at the moment, ANS. Poster: Hauntedtr makes a very good point!

It's because she's been in the lime light for quite some time now. Her son just died, she had a baby with a huge paternity suit, and she was awaiting millions of dollars from a marriage to a very old man. She's a former playmate centerfold, and it just is, what it is. ~~~~~

Americans do not think with a very high standard of intellectualism. Instead they want instant gratification, too many material things, too much food(obesity!)and drink(college students/frats/sororities) and don't want to think deeply-they'd rather watch the mind numbingly dumb American Idol. It's unfortunate that the most powerful country in the world lacks scholarly sophistication.

Because we all want to marry oil tycoons with one foot in the grave and then inherit all the money when they die and spend the rest of our miserable lives drinking and doing drugs.
Isn't that the American Dream?
