The imagination is not precise. And if we begin with paradigmatic examples, square circles or the greatest prime number, one should feign reticence before they attest to the veracity of this possibility. And yet s o m e claim such inanities are intelligible, that objects presented to one's mind, at least, can have contradictory or inconsistent properties.

I submit that this stubbornness lies in the gaps of our introspective perception. We are experts at omission when it comes to forming a positive concept (we deftly minimize the background); where there is conception, there is also the ability to NEST conception inside itself-- to conceive THAT you can conceive. And so, getting around our own particularities, we learn to imagine great myths as not only conceiveable but possible-- for one: that with the right sensorium we could perceive the totality of objective reality.
