The TV series Lost is apparently amazing. (i live in the UK)
I must the first few ever episodes. When i tried to watch like the 5th episode i found it really hard to get into.
what is it about??

Lost is about the survivors of a plane crash of a flight that originated in Australia heading toward Los Angeles. Although this is the third season, the survivors have only been on the island about 45 days or so.
The island has many mysteries - the people who have kidnapped or hurt a few of the survivors claim to be native to the island. They found a survival bunker with running water and food in it - and a computer that had to be reset at frequent intervals using a set of number which have been resonating among the survivors lives before they ever got on the ill fated plane.
And then there's the polar bear and the 'monster'.
Each episode features one character showing the set of circumstances in their lives which led them to be on the plane.

ok, a group of people are flying from Sydney Australia to LA in the USA
Every one has issues, most if not all can be blamed for someone being dead.
Plane Crashes
Plane was off course
They are stuck.
we see flashbacks focusing on the back story of one character every week, while the island adventure unfolds
they've seen Polar Bears, wierd 'cloud monsters', and other people
'Others' are 'native' to the island don't like outsiders
Other have access to outside world, but can't/won't let them go
Basically It started as a scripted Survivor with a sci-fi twist, now after 2.5 years of our time its gotten to be a convoluted confusing mess. in the show only about 2 monthes have passed in the 2.5 seasons/series/years since it debuted.

Its about some people that have their plane crash on an island. This is one wierd Island though. There are other people already on it, and some sort of strange and wild 'monster' that has no problem killing. There are also strange underground hatches, and weird experiments. Each episode is focused on a different character, and will have flashbacks to that person's previous life.
start from the beginning, and keep watching! you'll love it!

You should really get the DVD's or something cos its far too difficult to explain - so many twists and different stories that it would be impossible to explain!
I disagree with the comment about it being 'a typical survival' story - I've never seen anything else like, I have no idea what is going to happen next and I certainly don't know how it's going to end................nothing typical about it.

sky is repeating all the episodes of the new series over weekend and a recap on previous series i suggest you try watch them because if i tried to explain i think you would be Lost more but if you can't watch it try www.tv.com and search for lost read abit about the episodes and see if it has more on recap.

I watch it but I'm, er, lost. There are loads of twists and flashbacks and it gets frustrating at time because the more you keep on watching, the less you actually know what's going on. It reminds me of the show Twin Peaks which always used to make me say WTF???
