Ah, you do know that India and Pakistan used to be one country along with Bangladesh.
It didn't work then, why would you think it would work now ?

Technically, it was already done when the British were in control of the territory. Of course, it was split, which lead to the subsequent events following it.
However, if for whatever reason this recombining happened again, well let's just say their leaders must be smoking some good weed, because they'd be beyond foolish otherwise. Why you ask? Three words: Immediate civil war. The two countries hate each others guts; the last thing that they would want to do is become one again.

Its just a matter of time. Science is removing blindness, darkness everywhere created by race religion and differences. Ultimately to survive, every country system has to be economy based in future. Once understood fully, there will be no India, Pakistan, China etc but the technology and capable people. Machines are future for world without boundaries.

Im a Pakistani and I think that the best option right now in reality is to focus on ending the problems between these two countries just for a mere part of Kashmir. also..India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka should form a trade alliance dont you think??

It is not necessary to merge. We can allow free movement of people without visa. Both countries will lose nothing. But gain a lot in international affairs (trade/politics etc.) Kashmir problem will get diluted if people of both countries visit each other easily. You have quoted EU, USA&Canada. we can easily do it. Will out politicians and politicians in the guise of religion (both Hindu and Muslim) allow it. But the people can ask for it through trade/social/cultural/student/media forums

I don't know. But what would you do if they combine Canada, US and Mexico? Oh wait they're in the process of that right now. Should all be coming together by 2010. It's called the North American Union. Under the false names of the NAFTA Superhighway.

How long you have been thinking about this? If it was just for a while then you still have a chance throw your weed out. If its been for along time then I doubt if even doctor can help you.
