I would boot into safe mode with networking. This loads the bare essentials for running xp and the drivers needed for networking. You can do this by pressing f8 key while pc is booting then choose it from the list of boot options. If you are able to access the internet this way I would then google search "online virus scan" and use the bit defender website to scan for viruses and spyware.

could be just an issue with the router you have not sending to the correct address, try turning the router off for 5 minits and then powering it back up again, quite often it clears the problem, you obviously have a connection as you can access some sites.also if this does not sort it then go into your lan connections and click on your connection and then disable it,wait a few seconds and then enable it again.this should sort the problem.

first of all check the weather there is LAN connection is ok if missing then click my computer, right click properties, scan new hardware, click properties and update the driver now u will see the new hardware found in task bar,

click my network place and click properties click TCP/ IP properties click automatic, and try internet explorer,
if still the problem, entry the IP address provided by the internet service render, entry all the IP address, it will work now if still problem there must be some problem in telephone connection

Try to add a new network connection. Just use the help from windows and search for add network connection and it will walk you through it.

Also you may want to reinstall the motherboard drivers that has the network connections to it. Good luck.
